Carpet Cleaning Tips

We strongly recommend to treat any stains immediately in case of accident happens. Below list provide a guide on how to react to stains.
Type of Stain Cleansing Agents / Treatments (Treat in this Order)
Beer, White Wine, Egg, Ice Cream, Beetroot Use detergent (such as Morning Fresh) and Vinegar solution, Tab on the stain, Do not rub.
Blood Cold Water, Ammonia Solution
Butter, Grease, Lip Stick, Cooking Oil Use Dry-cleaning solvent or mineral turpentine then
use detergent and Vinegar solution to tab on the stain with white cloth.
Red Wine 1. Absorbent powder (e.g. Soda powder from super market). Sprinkle on spillage evenly, leave overnight and vacuum next day. Repeat if residual remains Use clean, warm (not hot) water.
*Note: Do not use on dark or patterned carpet
Chewing Gum Use White Spirit or Eucalyptus Oil Ammonia Solution.
Chocolate 1. Detergent and vinegar solution.
2. Dry-cleaning solvents
3. Ammonia Solution
4. Rinse with cold water
Coffee (Black or White) 1. Dry-cleaning solvents or mineral turpentine.
2. Cold water to rinse
3.Apply detergent and household grade Vinegar
Fruit Juice, Gravy/Sauce 1. Clean, warm (not hot) water.
2. Vinegar solution.
3. Rinse with Cold water
Ink Fountain Pen 1. Clean, warm (not hot) water.
2. Vinegar solution.
3. Dye stripper. Dilute 50 to 1 with cold water.
*Note: Do not use on patterned carpet
Milk 1. Clean, warm (not hot) water.
2. Dry-cleaning solvent or mineral turpentine.
3. Vinegar solution.
4. Rinse with cold water
Nail Polish 1. Nail polish remover (can be purchased from Chemist)
2. Dry-cleaning solvent or mineral turpentine.
3. Rinse with cold water
Shoe Polish 1. Dry-cleaning solvent or mineral turpentine.
2. Vinegar solution.
3. Rinse with Warm water
Soft Drinks 1. Clean, warm (NOT hot) water.
2. Vinegar solution.
3. Ammonia Solution.
4. Hydrogen peroxide. Dilute 10 to 1 with cold water.
*Note: Do not use on dark or patterned carpet.
Wax Covering the wax with wet tower and apply gentle heat or steam with a clothes iron to Melt the wax. For few minutes wax will be adsorbed by brown paper/ wet tower.
